Activity on the D&H

This page is a series of reports from myself and fellow rail fans about trains operating on the D&H, specifically on the Colonie Main in New York.  The area covered is from Kenwood Yard in Albany, NY to Mohawk Yard in Schenectady, NY and Saratoga Yard in Saratoga, NY.  Where only one locomotive is listed as power, then it is the leader, but multiple listings are the entire power set.  In the case of locals, it is usually the sole power.  Special thanks to "Mad Dog" Bill Kozel who posts reports from the "Magic Triangle" - CPF 478-CPF 480-CPC 24 - and the surrounding area and Gordy Smith, a D&H dispatcher who helps with info.  Any reports from these trains outside the Capital District will also be covered, specifically from Walt Favro who is up at Rouses Point.  Numerous others have begun to contribute, and that is greatly appreciated.  Guilford trains operating over joint trackage will also be posted, as they are operating over the D&H.

The starting date for this is January 17th, 2002.  I will keep a week at a time (a month made the page too big) on this primary page, then move them to an archives of the back pages as I update this site.  Locomotives that are in parenthesis are confirmed on the train, but their order in the lashup is unknown.  An "x" represents an unknown number.

NOTICE: I am now done with school for the summer, and back home to Massachusetts, so am nowhere near the area.  I'll try to keep the archives updated, but don't plan on this page being up-to-date at all.  ~Corey

CPR Trace is now off-limits to non-customers.  This is effective as of 21:00 hrs on 1/31/02.  It's too bad because now I can't confirm some of the fuzzy consists.
